Ladhak & Kashmir 2010 - Day 12 - To Kashmir...
As all of the Muslim dominated places in India, Kargil is squalid. I should have taken a few pictures of whatever was, just for he record, but didn’t.
We stopped there for the night.
And the next morning, we started our journey westwards towards Kashmir, eager to see the Kargil war memorial on the way. It was a place my father was looking forward to visiting.
Varying gradually from typical Ladakhi, the landscape began to get more and more scenic, with greenery showing in bigger patches.
I found consolation in the belief that this would pull my parents from their boredom and I would find them in better mood than the past few days.
