Ayodhya. Solution for Tirupati?

My wish for the Ayodhya Ram Temple is for it to become wealthier than Tirupati which is infiltrated with Andhr@ Chr1sti@ns and where devotees are shoved around like cattle, in return for a fleeting glance at a faraway idol

Maybe if people start thronging Ayodhya, Tirupati will be less crowded and darshan will be more humane.

Beautiful Black Temple Murtis. Incidentally, Politically Correct!

A friend posted this picture on FB and remarked about the black stone and other details that make up the murti of Ram in Ayodhya.

I casually asked why marble could not have been the choice. There were reactions and responses, one of which cautioned me to refrain from suggesting that white was superior to black.
Below is my response.
------------------------------------------------------

White is indeed superior to black, technically. Because it reflects light whereas black absorbs light.
Which is why the walls of our homes are always painted white or off white, cream, ivory or straw and never black ever.
Which is why thousands of people the world over go for permanent skin whitening pills and procedures but not one white has gone for skin blackening. Medical procedures don't even exist for darkening. Tanning is just adding some red or brown, but only temporarily.

White is the better and preferred colour which is why it doesn't need justification. Unlike black which has an entire machinery to justify it, sell it, market it, and has people promoting it as 'colour of wheat, colour of chocolate, earth, bronze, honey, caramel and so on'.
The very fact that no one sings of white, milk white, ivory white, proves that it doesn't need any singing and that everyone secretly knows of it's superiority.
And no, nothing wrong in it. Just as there is nothing wrong in admiring tall stature or sonorous voice or long tresses or well cut features, all nature's coincidences and none, man's own achievement.

It's peer pressure to abide by political correctness that restrains people from admitting their admiration and longing for white.
I, for one, hate political correctness, and hence seize every opportunity to openly adore white.
It's perfectly ok, as long as it does not become the basis of judgment or discrimination.
